'The Gloaming' zine

$15.00

New art zine by Manik Raj Nakra, The Gloaming, unfolds as a tapestry of hand-carved woodblock prints—spiritual iconography and ceremonial motifs etched in time. Like the fleeting hush of twilight, it lingers in the space between day and night, a meditation on nature, mortality, history, and memory.
The cut & paste rawness of the collaged compositions are influenced by the western artistic traditions of early xerox style punk zines while echoing the rich lineage of South Asian woodblock printing as a way to reflect the artist’s own experience of being a first generation Indian American.

Hand numbered edition of 30. Full color on newsprint. 16 pages.
